I was born to be a foodie. As a young child, I was always surrounded by food. My great aunts opened an Italian restaurant in the early 50’s so I have fond early memories of being in the kitchen. Due to our Italian heritage, our family gatherings had an enormous amount of food. My mom always made plenty of food, enough for us 8 kids plus the entire neighborhood. The running joke in my family is if you don’t have enough food for twice the amount of people, you better keep cooking!
Although I do not have any formal training (on the bucket list!), I have been cooking for over 40 years. I saw Julia Child on PBS make Coq au Vin circa 1973 and realized food was definitely a passion of mine. From then on, it was a complete love affair.
I’ve taken a variety of food instruction classes and I read cookbooks/food magazines as a hobby. I watch more shows on Food Network than anyone I have ever met and I love attending foodie events. I thrive on creating my own recipes from scratch and watching ingredients come to life.
My goal is to help people prepare healthy delicious meals that they can feel the love in sharing with others. Cooking has been a staple in my family, as it is our favorite way to spend time together. I would love to share my passion of cooking with you, as you learn to create healthy and delicious meals for you, your family and your community.
Let’s get cooking!
